2009
Senior Leadership Conference Rising Leaders
Scholarships
To stimulate leadership opportunities for rising
leaders in the Alliance for Children and Families’
membership network, the Senior Leadership Conference
Steering Committee, in partnership with Alliance
member Board of Child Care in Baltimore, Alliance
member Catholic Family Center in Rochester, NY, and
McArdle Ramerman in Rochester, NY, have
generously agreed to underwrite three $1,000 and
five $500 Rising Leaders scholarships for the 2009
Senior Leadership Conference (SLC). Scholarships
must be used for conference related expenses. All
scholarships are limited to one per agency and will
be selected through a formal application process.
Applications must be received by Monday, November 3,
2008.
Scholarship Criteria
The three $1,000 scholarships will be limited to
Alliance member agencies with personnel budgets less
than $1.5 million. To be eligible for the
scholarship, applicants must be at an Alliance
member organization, a rising leader within their
organization, and attend the 2009 Senior Leadership
Conference with a sponsor (senior manager from their
organization) who agrees to mentor the applicant
during and after the conference experience.
Applicants must have leadership and supervisory
responsibilities within their organization’s daily
operations. Due to the limited number of available
scholarships, previous SLC scholarship recipients
are not eligible to reapply.
Scholarship recipients are required to attend the
scholarship recipient reception during the
conference Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at the TradeWinds
Island Grand Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL.
Scholarship Recipient Selection
The 2009 Senior Leadership Conference Awards
